I've been sailing my W-23 for a few months and I just love this boat. I do have a question for anyone out there though. I've been trying to install a plate for my mast where the track opens up to accept the sail slugs/ boom. I fabricated one out of pretty thin (1/16") aluminum and used the old holes in the mast with slightly larger heads and it works pretty well. I still have to leave the cockpit to raise the main because it jams and the bottom slug will sometimes slide out of the track. I have some more substantial aluminum plate and I thought it might just be a matter of putting a stronger plate in and smoothing everything out. Has anyone got any advise for me? Thanks in advance!
