Bones of Contention
Carp are good eating. All species. Sweet, fatty, mucho Omega3. May need to process them heavily because of the bones, like herring. Also want to watch heavy metals/PCB content, since they are garbage feeders.
Now, over here we have thousands of commercial fishermen who are really hurting -- idled because the great fisheries have been depleted -- idled because they are too good at catching fish.
While over here, we have a whole s*&tload of unwanted, slow, stupid, beefy feeshes that literally hurl themselves into boats. Surely, a solution presents itself? Nothing but water between the Maritimes and Lake Michigan. Bring over the flippin Portugese factory trawlers, set them loose on the infested waters with strict orders to obey fishing quotas; the carp will be extinct in six months.

I nominate bob for Minister of Fisheries, even if he isn't from Soviet Canuckistan.
And I'm going sailing for two days. I expect all the details to be worked out by the time I'm back.
