I've been looking at boats from the late 70's. A few (Tartan, Cape Dory) have a one cylinder Farymann Diesel engine. I'm pretty sure the two I've seen are model A30M (vertical). I found an
owner's manual with basic maintenance procedures on capedory.org but it doesn't list part numbers. Is a more technical manual available with part numbers? I would love to hear from current or past Farymann owners on their experience with these engines, and availability of parts. How does Farymann compare to Volvo in the 76-79 vintage?
