Jenneaus are designed and built for coastal cruising, are relatively light flat bottom boats and rather skimpy on construction (no offense to J owners). The fact that you asked this question begs the suggestion that you might want to gain some more experience with sailboat design and construction as well as offshore experience before undertaking such a trip.
