"sample" costs...new 34-35 ft production boat

Down payment: $25,000
Boat Note: $750/month = $9000
Insurance: $170/month = $2040
Diver: $70/month = $840
Slip: $450/month (free for me...have a dock behind my home) = $5400
Equipment/upgrades: $200-$300 a month...easy = $2400-$3600
Equipment failures: None yet
Yearly haul-out & bottom paint: $1200 (yards are slow right now)
State registration: $100/year

Approximate yearly ongoing expenses: ~$22,000 per year.

You get some of that back if you claim as second home deduction. Even more if you put into charter...but thats another animal in an of itself
