If you sail, I would opt for a mooring for price and value. It's very much a fisherman's marina and although the facilities are ok, it's packed, no finger piers and and stern-to docking. Nothing horrendous, just not that convenient to come and go nor do maintenance.
I do highly recommend the club. Lots of nice people, great bar (the view is really nice on a clear night) and Atlantic Highlands is a nice town. The launch service is pretty good, but if you like early mornings or late nights, you'd be advised to keep a dinghy handy.

Is there a multi-year waiting list to get a lease to put a mooring ball out or is it relatively easy to get a lease?
