Guys,
Tom Wright did a post replacement (with the mast up) on a pre Pac Seacraft 37.He posted a very detailed description of the truss to support the mast etc.I believe that he built a new post out of oak to replace the old rotted post. I cutoff and rplcd the soft section with a 3" ss pipe with a jack-screw.I did mine with the mast off the boat so no support truss was required.
