Sorry to stir the pot so much ( but that is what this thread is all about) I actually was very politicaly active in the 60's and am leaving it to you young guys to figure out were we're gonna go from here. I'm prolly not as informed as most of you, I spend most of my time thinking about sex, motorcycles and sailboats. (man I want a new RSV4 sooooo bad)
Yep, I agree that substance isn't as important today, can't really lay it all on the Dems. I mean, not much substance with Sarah Palin but she's sure got a lot of attention.
I have been around long enough to realize when someone is getting dumped on and I'm gonna call it like I see it.
Fox news ...... how 'bout the birth certificate non-story they ran for weeks. Really, would the "in's" run against someone they hadn't checked out 100%? If they could have squashed his bid early they sure would have. Gimme a break.
Ha Ha, ya got me on LBJ, but at least he made no pretext at anything but reading his speach.
I have no personal grudge toward George W. Bush, I think he did his best and he did what his god told him to do. I think he's an honorable man, it's a shame he was such a lousy president.
Feel the same about Carter. I really like Carter but was very disapointed with his presidency. It'd be great to see GWB get involved with something positive, like Carter has.
Peace out guys; open, honest, disagrement is a healthy sign of life.
