I was reading the British LPG standards and found some interesting information. First the Brits are not in favor of flex line from the locker to the appliance. They seem to like a copper (or stainless steel) line from the tank locker to the appliance with a flex line no longer than 1 meter to the appliance from the metal line. The problem I (and ABYC) sees with this is that you end up with another connection outside of the locker. Below is an exerpt from the British Regulations.
