I thought about this, and I don't think the power requirements are the real problem for a laser printer, it is the size of most laser printers that would be the problem. Yes, laser printers use a lot of power just sitting there, but why does it have to sit there drawing power all the time, how often do we print on the boat ? Just reach over, turn the printer on when you need it, then turn it off when you are done.
