Yeah I'm pretty sure it's standard counter clockwise to remove but I didn't want to force it till someone else offered an opinion
. I've got a wrench that goes on the end fits the top of the new filter like a glove but loose and pops off on the old one. I need to get one of the kind that slides over and ratchets tight. I'm very low on room but and probably get a screw driver through in a pinch. The oil was done about a year ago. Figured it was time to get changed for the winter season!
I will get the new wrench and give it a try tomorrow evening. Wish me luck!
