115 feet off Can-2, 5 miles offshore from Brenton Reef, Newport. It was with 1:2 scope, while fishing for Striped Bass in my 30 ft. powerboat (gasp!). In True Blue, we anchored in 75 ft. to dive off Kettle Bottom Rock, off Horsehead, Jamestown, RI. We decided to stay awhile for lunch after the dive, since seas were calm and weather perfect.

If anchoring off other boats counts in this poll, three years ago, I dove the wreck of the U-853, sunk in 130 ft, 6 miles east of Block Island, RI, with all 53 German sailors on board. We dove off Stephen Brady's 48 ft Egg Harbor, a Newport Diving Center Charter. Incredible experience, but only 15 ft viz.
