clubfooted staysail

You would need to install jib sheet lead blocks and tracks, and make port and starboard sheets, and, depending on the size of the boat add port and starboard jib sheet winches and make sure that you have a proper lead to the winches. It is not really very easy to make a club or boomless staysail that is self-tacking. That requires a properly placed athwartship track that typcially is constructed on a ''bridge'' just forward of the mast. It also greatly restricts the size and shape of the staysail to something smaller than your present staysail on a club. All in all I would actually think that a self tackinging boomless (or clubless) staysail is the most complex of the three options and the one that is hardest to make work right.

Good luck in what ever you do.
