We spent over two years at what used to be Halsey Cannon boatyard which is just north of Charleston on the Wando River. It was bought by the same holding company as the City Marina in downtown last summer and they've slowly been cleaning it up and turning it into a real professional operation. We lived right next door so I was able to keep an eye on their progress. They're putting in a small marina, paving areas of the yard, building a new
paint shed, etc etc. The painter, Donnie is a great guy as well as Joshua, the yard "do-it-all." Shaun is the manager and is friendly, but otherwise doesn't leave the office.
They are now called the Charleston City Boatyard. Check the web and you should find them.
