I just bought a Pearson 30 that had fallen over in a yard.
The insurance company said it cracked the hull and totalled it. So the price was right!
But I had a feeling about this and it turned out the "cracks" were just the colored threads along the edge that hold the woven cloth together on the roll. Not so for the two power boats it fell on, each sustained signifigant damage. Pay backs are hell.
The motor was a pile of rust so in the process of re-powering with another rebuilt automic 4 and repainting the bottom.
Looking forward to a good sail.
