I would also say Oyster Bay. A friend of mine keeps his sailboat up in West Harbor on a town mooring. There is plenty of room to
anchor. We live in Port Jeff but keep our boat in Mattituck. There's a nice anchorage at the bottom of Mattituck Creek if you are ever out that far east, can get crowded on the weekends.
