Wow, what a great trip, and trip report. Thanks for taking time to write-that up.

Seeing as we have been tempted in the past by multi-hulls, I was really interested in your impressions and comments on the catamaran -- particularly since you offer the perspective of a new, large, well-equipped, monohull owner. More food for thought.

Sounds like you and the family made the most of the cool weather. We did the same on our recent trip to Florida for the Space Shuttle launch. We weren't exactly expecting beach weather, but I'll tell you we were bundled up in hats, gloves, fleece jackets, etc. Not quite what we had in mind! It's been a cold one this year up and down the eastern seaboard -- even out to the Bahamas apparently.
