The problem with UHT milk is that you commit yourself to drinking whatever size the package is. They come in little juice boxes but I'm forever cooking recipes that call for a tiny amount, and I'm not that thirsty to drink the difference. And it's expensive. I'm on team dehydrated.
I eat a lot of dry beans too, they are the best.
For milk I use the powdered stuff too. I open a pack and divide it up into smaller amounts because a whole pack of powdered makes 4 cups of milk and most recipes call for 1/2 cup, sometimes 1 cup. People complain about the taste of powdered milk but I don't actually drink the stuff, I just cook with it.
