A delay of commencement between purchase and commissioning can be negotiated within reason. There is usually a proviso though regarding the storage of the engine in this period.

I'm in the PNW and spoke with a dealer out in the San Juan Islands. I have the paperwork filed away somewhere but my recollection is that the motor I was looking at was around 50 h.p. I'll look up the dealer rep in NC. Thanks for the heads up.
