Plexiglas Maitenance

Wet sand starting with 600 grit wet and dry sandpaper then 1000 then 1300, then 2000 grit. Use a few drops of detergent as a lubricant. Use a flat rubber block or disc to hold the sandpaper flat. This will give you a matte finish.
Then buff with a cloth wheel (not a pad) at mediium speed with a ''bit'' of jewelers rouge on the wheel. Go slow and easy on the pressure when you power buff ... or you will burn/soften/distort the plexiglass surface.
You will wind up with an optically clear surface; but, it will have image distortion.
