I would add Chart # 1 to the list....

I'll be damned if I can remember what all those symbols mean.
So Chart # 1 and the rules are always at the nav station.

I have many of the others mentioned and more..but from the lists above, it looks like I don't have em all..

For teaching nav to beginners I like Mike Pyzels book..it's a pretty straighforward..and easily followed guide.

I also like Reeds Nautical Companion and John Neals Offshore Cruising Companion...both are good quick reference guides..easily carried.
