My first sailboat was a Holland 7.6, loved it and still do (it's out there, somewhere). Great performance, but I don't think I'd sit it on that long thin keel for too long. We once hit a (uncharted, natch) rock, pretty hard, and flexed the hull - broke two legs off the head, but only a scratch on the keel paint.

Mine was the very first, the prototype, no hull number, and was a little different from production boats, beefier in some areas. The design was reinforced somewhere along the way...
