Kingston is a fun place to visit, and has very nice guest moorage facilities. They fill up on nice weekends, but not very often at other times.

If you want to anchor, you can anchor SSW of the marina. Be careful to watch your depth, as the water is VERY thin as you go east. Watch your charts and depthfinder and you should be fine.

I anchored there once. .. Rolled a bit due to the ferry wakes, and occasional ship in the sound, but not too bad.

Edmonds is a nice place to stop too, but no good anchorage there.
