And to follow up to a previous post, I did carpet my cabin. I laid the front cushions out on a big remnant and traced them with a sharpie, then added about a foot so the carpet would go up the sides of the cabin to that vinyl covered rub rail thing. (I did the marking on the back of the carpet) Cut and fit -- fits pretty good. Comfy enough to lay on, boxes of gear slide about as easily as they did on the cushions, except they don't dig in and rip. -- they slide when tugged but during trailering and sailing they stay put. I think it's the way to go. If I were overnighting I could put a small air mattress or bedroll up there to make it really comfy.
