We're in Savannah, GA., at Isle of Hope Marina. It's that time of year again; time to go on the hard and
paint.
We've been using Sea Hawk Cukote since '03 with fair results. The waters around here are noted for their superior fouling of mostly barnacles and soft growth. However, sit still for long enough and you'll be in the oyster business.....
We've gotten about 14 months to the date from our last painting. We generally have to dive or have a diver go in and scrape after about 10-11 months. Now, with warmer waters about, we're getting 2-3 weeks out of a good scraping. I'm looking for some suggestions as to a more long-lasting
paint, or if no such animal exists, one that is more economical to
paint once a year - Trinidad for instance.
Any thoughts?
