I bought a fresh water boat and brought it down to the sea, It has Interlux VC 17 fresh water bottom
paint on it. I am told that I have to sand it completely off before I can use a salt water bottom
paint. Anyone have any thoughts on this? The bottom is in good shape, what happens if I just
paint over the VC 17? Do the bottom
paint police fine me or do I run a real risk of blistering the hull glass? Is there a compatable salt water
paint I use?
I don't have the time to sand it myself and you would not beleive what the yard gets to do it, they say sanding alone will take 40 hours. Thanks in advance,
