Cutlass Bearing and rudder bearing
Hi All I will soon be sailing a 46 Foot Durbeck. but I need to replace the Cutlass bearing and the bearing at the bottom of the rudder. From what I have heard about the cutlass , you remove the prop and then there is a hole to remove a set screw then use a punch to get the bearing out. On the bottom of the rudder there is a plate with two bolts to hold it on the keel and a cup that the rudder shaft sits in and it has a good bit of play. Any info about this would be greatly appreciated.
