"shroud lackey" = Asian for "your rig is under tensioned" plus there are some other interpretations that are interesting. Who wouldn't want to have a lackey on board unless they were lax in their duties and slacking off on their main bilge watches? Anchor watches are for sissies and crabs. Can you imagine a Rolex on a blue crab?
