I second Sailing Dog's nomination for "Maiden Voyage" by Tania Aebi. I also recommend a classic - "Adrift" by Steven Callahan. Although this incident happened in 1981, there is still a lot of interest about it. In fact, I saw Steven Callahan on a talk show just last year. The most amazing thing to me is that he made landfall at Maria Gallante in the West Indies, very close to the course he projected using only primative navigation instruments.
