Lots of choices here, but our favorite is to
anchor in Ft. Lauderdale's Lake Sylvia to await good weather (no northerly against the Gulfstrem current). We take a 9 hr run to West End with about 6.5 kts and the ride with the Gulfstream and clear customs at Old Bahama Bay Marina. From here we head for Green Turtle Cay and to the "Sea of Abaco" with short day access to Hopetown, Man-O-War, Little Harbor, Great Guana & Marsh Harbor and regular flights for guests in and out from south Florida to either the Treasure Cay or Marsh Hbr airports.
