Performed routine maintenance since returning from Mexico in July, 2009; varnish work, waxing and having three Halon extinguishers brought up to date. Rebuilt the transmission to the Yanmar auxiliary engine. Also boiled out the heat exchanger and replaced the mixing 'J' in the exhaust. Upgraded to a 100 amp alternator and replaced the ST4000 Plus autopilot with the SPX-5 model. Did an end-for-end change of both of my bow anchor rodes and used a rope to chain splice rather than an eye connection. Replaced all my dock lines and fitted each with full grain leather chaff guards. Hauled the boat in October for bottom paint, new prop shaft, new drip-less shaft seal, new cutlass bearing and re-bushing the rudder post.
Left San Diego November 2, 2010 and arrived in La Paz, Baja California Sur, Mexico on November 10th. Plan to spend at least the next two cruising seasons in Mexico.
