Yeah, that's the inside of my grill. Supposedly you take the conical piece out and set your pan or kettle on the leg portion to make it a stove.
What I'm thinking now is that I need to have a piece of granite cut so that it sits where this piece is and use it as a baking stone, and make a jacket for the top using ROXUL mineral wool. The stone will be a good pizza or bread cooking surface, will hold heat and the mineral wool will insulate the top and allow the top to radiate heat back onto whatever i'm cooking.
I just worry how far I can go with this and not melt or blow something!
