2011's first sail took me 7 days. Embarrassing.
20 knots + J22 = exciting, and a little damp.
Make sure the reefing line is tied securely so your reef doesn't shake itself out.
If your reef does shake itself out, don't assume the cleat slipped... If you assume the cleat slipped, you'll just pull the reefing line into the boom and force yourself to pinch and feather all day, thereby increasing the level of exciting.
I've had bowlines shake themselves loose on jib sheets, but never on a reefing line. Lesson learned.
