Thanks for the reply. We purchased this boat for the sailing and layout, which is great. I am concerned about longevity because of the hull. I talked to Tiara yachts which still employs one man who was there in 1987. He said one option is to remove the thru hulls below waterline and dig out about 1/4 inch of the core around the circumference of the hole and refill with epoxy (moisture barrier). Sounds expensive. Part of me wants to sale it now and move on, but part of me says just hold on. From what I read, just like you said, cored hulls get a bad rap. I hope thats all it is.
