One person has to be in charge on a boat, even in relatively benign circumstances. As far as I'm concerned, this has everything to do with safety and nothing to do with sexism. However, I make every effort not to yell and if there is potential for unnecessary raised voices (such as catching the mooring) I gladly relinquish the wheel to my better half.
