Update,
Went down to the boat and ran the engine for almost a hour. I made sure that there was no excess oil or water in the hull. I also closed all the engine compartments and when I came back, no excess fumes in cabin. When I open the engine compartment back up I did smell a little burning oil, but nothing major. I hope I have nip this in the bud, but for now it looks like the issue has been resolved.
