a couple of other items about the "drill bit for a winch"
a piece of old wetsuit neoprene glued around the main part of the drill keeps the scratches off the deck,( do not cover the drill vents) and there is a shear pin on the drill shaft you can replace with a stainless steel heavy gauge that won't break as fast under load.
The sales page shows someone running a crew member to the top of the mast with this setup, and it works great, but make sure you have a second halyard and a safety line on the crew. It can run you up there a little TOO fast!
Our drill lives on the cabin top to starboard, under the dodger when the winds up.
