Atlantic City anchorage is not for the faint of heart. You can
anchor off the seawall by the bridge to Briganteen outside the Clam Creek basin ( SV Auspicious Dave and I had a discussion about this at the rondevous) It has a good current rolling through and you need a
dinghy to get to the casinos. The other anchorgae where I have anchored myself is acrooss ther inlet inland thoroughfare from Clam Creek. It is protected...has a nonmarked but deep entrance, and you out of the way from the wakes of the inlet traffic. BOth require dingy rides.
Maybe you would consider doing Cape May and Cape Henlopen as your trip and do you ocean sailing from both...returning back to the anchorage. Spend at least a night or two in Utsches..you wont be sorry and for 60 bucks well worth it.
