Doug... I would be very leery of this despite the fact that it is a GREAT boat! I'd be more concerned about hull damage than mast issues. Aside from a survey that will determine any structural damage to the boat...there is a loss of some sailing performance and the question of how the mainsail hoist difference was handled...new sail, re-cut sail or lopped off foot. How was the rigging re-done? If all was done properly and the boat is in good shape, there's no good reason to walk away but the "damage" should get you a good price reduction!
