When I decided the replace the 70s four switch fuse panel in my boat, I got one of these from Sea-dog. And coupled it with this for the ground bus.

It's aluminum, the switches light up when on, and it has six breakers and is MUCH cheaper than a blue-sea panel. The 8 switch blue-sea DC panel only has five breakers, you need to spend about $45 more to get another three breakers. This panel cost less than the just extra breakers.

It worked fine, but I got more stuff and wanted more breakers. So when a blue-sea DC panel showed up on craigslist for cheap, with extra breakers included, I got that. Now my compass light has its own switch! At least until I install something else, then it will have to share a circuit with the nav lights again.

BTW, I now have that sea-dog panel for sale cheap if anyone wants it. The blue-sea panels are nice, but there are other options that are fine and much cheaper.
