From my limited experience on the NS coast I think you should be ready for fog. I doubt that the Tanzer would have radar which would be very nice to have. Do it in day hops and give yourself lots of time to allow you to wait for the right weather to go to the next harbour. A tight schedule will get you in trouble in a hurry. Get the charts you need and a cruising guide. Does the boat have adequate ground tackle or do you need to find a dock each night. There are lots of pleasant places to stop along there. Take your time and enjoy. I think that 10 days or so would be nice.

After the refit we have decided to sell Ainia. We want something smaller that would be could for the light summer winds of Lake Ontario, although we plan to spend at least a couple of winters in the Caribbean before heading north.
