The boat has no HID. I checked the usual places where an HID would be present and there is no sign that there ever was one. According to Bofus and Rathra's hull numbers, my boat would have really been built in 1972, not 1973.
Just how am I supposed to convince the Maryland DNR that the Virginia title probably has a typo, and that my boat was built in 1972? I'm not finding an online resource that definitively proves what hull numbers were built during which year.
What makes you think the MD DNR will care? They'll just copy the old VA title. It won't matter to them when the boat was actually built.
