CaptainForce will become famous soon enough
We like the anchoring possibilities inside Ragged Keys, but we usually take the more protected space south of Featherbed Bank and just in the cove just north of Sands Key and taking the dinghy ride west around the sand bar to Boca Chita. We also like to anchor off the Elliott Key State park to the south for the showers and the wilderness trails that always require mosquito repellant. We also anchor around Pumpkin Keyand we've taken a spot in the middle of Angelfish off to the side of the channel, but this is also too close to the mangroves to be free of mosquitos. I often see people anchored near the effluent of the Turkey Point cooling ponds, but I don't know what the attraction is unless it's a fishing spot. Of course, Biscayne Bay includes those spots on Key Biscayne, the Marine Stadium and near the east end of Venetian Causeway, but I don't think you were asking about those spots. Take care and joy, Aythya crew
