Dry Tortugas in Spring

Last weekend I sailed my Cal 27 mk3 down to Ft. Myers area from Tampa Bay. It handled a SE 15-20 kts and weird seas from Tropical Storm Lee quite well. Pointing in 3-5's was better than I expected. I was thinking of sailing it back to St. Petersburg later this fall, but now I'm considering taking it to either Key West or Dry Tortugas in the Spring.

I have a regular job with limited time off and am hoping I could get it from Ft. Myers to Dry Tortugas and back to Naples, Ft. Myers, or Key West in a 7 day period.

Was thinking I could make it down and back to Ft. Myers in a week but was also looking for a bailout if there is a strong cold front that wants to move in.

Anybody have a suggestion on which month is better from Feb to May and also have any suggestions for a marina I could tie up to in Key west or near for a few weeks to a month that wont cost me a fortune?
