Did you happen to get the make and model of that generator and/or how they had it mounted; I want one of those.
I didn't get theirs, but I know mine. It is mounted in an insulated locker down by the keel. When standing over it while it's running, you could communicate with a whisper. When sitting in the cockpit in any amount of wind, you can not hear the motor. I challenge any neighbor to hear it !! What you can hear is the water splashing from the exhaust, but that's it. As I've said before, that is no different, even less noisy, than a slapping dinghy.

Jeanneau 54DS

In the harsh marine environment, something is always in need of repair. Margaritas fix everything.
