Does anyone know how to test for pure gas?
Place 90 ml in a 100 ml graduate. Add 10ml water. If more than 10 ml drop out, the balance is ethanol. The ethanol trade association had this on their web site, but removed the page (dead link). This is basically what the cheap test kits do, and it is accurate enough for this purpose.
