9 winters out of 10, you'll have no problem leaving the mast up. It's the 10th winter that is a royal beeotch.
So...do you feel lucky?
Every other season, these guys were lucky. Last season, not so much:






It doesn't take a lot of time to drop the stick, but it can take weeks to get a new one. Why take the risk?

Especially in Tennessee. Methinks keeping the stick up in tornado country is just thumbing your nose at Fate.
