Here in SF our season begins New Year’s Day and ends Dec 31st. Our first weekend cruise was in the beginning of March and in the middle of a big storm (real victory at sea stuff). We then had good sailing in the spring. Our boat was down for the most of the summer while we replaced the stem fitting. Then I had some family commitments which further kept us away from the water. We did our final overnight cruise of the season last weekend and had rain overnight but a glorious sail back to our marina on Sunday. What a way to bookend the season. You know, some seasons you sail a thousand miles or more and other years only a hundred. But, somehow it all works out.
