No. Changing the direction the winch pulls would require making new interior bits for the winch...and then you'd end up with something that most people would screw up when they tried to use them.
The winch toppers work fairly well to self-tail the line, but I wouldn't trust them to hold the line under a load. Cleat the line off if you have a load on it...don't just use the winch topper like you would a real self-tailing unit.
