Can anyone recommend a kid-friendly, laid back marina in the northern part of the Chesapeake, i.e., Carpenter Point, Elkton, Chestertown?
My wife would like a pool, I would like a non-full-service restriction so I can work on her too. Haul out or nearby is a plus...
thanks--
I think I'd look in Rock Hall. Haver de Grace is a cool town, but its kinda like sailing on a lake up there, unless make a long run further south to more open areas of the Bay. Rock Hall has you out on the Bay in short order with several interesting overnight locations easily possible. Looks like about a 1.5 hour drive which is nothing in this area. Most of us spend that much time commuting to work every day.

A good resource to help narrow your search is:

www.activecaptain.com

Lots of good info on that site.
